Part-Time Full Cycle Bookkeeper - Sage 50

Excel Personnel Inc. is currently seeking a skilled part-time Full Cycle Bookkeeper to join our Kamloops head office.

Be a part of our dynamic team in a small business environment supporting a staff of 30-90 employees throughout the year. You'll play a pivotal role in our financial operations, managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, government remittances (including GST, WCB, and EHT), T-4 preparation, and year-end preparations for accountants. Your responsibilities will also include file retention and managing correspondence via email using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize Sage 50 Accounting software
  • Manage all aspects of full-cycle bookkeeping, including bank deposits, invoice processing, reconciliations, and generating monthly reports for management on receivables.
  • Prepare materials for year-end processes, collaborating closely with the accountant.
  • Conduct bi-weekly payroll runs and ensure timely automatic deposits into staff bank accounts.
  • Handle file retention, ensuring organized and secure storage of financial documents.
  • Manage correspondence via Microsoft Outlook, ensuring timely responses and accurate record-keeping.
  • Other bookkeeping duties as required
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in full-cycle bookkeeping using Sage 50 software is required
  • Bachelor's degree/diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Job Details:

  • Salary: $35.00 per hour
  • Work Schedule: 2-3 days per week in office
  • Benefit program including Medical and Dental coverage available after completing a 3-month probationary period on a 50/50 cost-sharing basis.
  • Onboarding training will be provided by the current bookkeeper.
  • Position start date: May 14, 2024
