At Excel Personnel, we’re proud to share a major milestone for both our team and our community: our Director of Human Resources, Cyrena Robinson, has been awarded the 2025 Genesis Award by the Association of Canadian Search, Employment & Staffing Services (ACSESS).
Presented at the national ACSESS Conference in Montreal, the Genesis Award recognizes a rising star in the staffing and recruitment industry—someone who has made an early impact, taken initiative, and shown outstanding dedication within their first two years.
Cyrena’s journey into recruitment began with a career shift. After her previous role was eliminated, she joined Excel Personnel in an administrative capacity—but it quickly became clear she was destined for more. With a background in digital marketing and a passion for helping people, Cyrena embraced the world of recruitment with drive, compassion, and creativity.
In just over a year, she’s been promoted to Director of HR, obtained her Certified Personnel Consultant designation, and now represents not only Excel Personnel, but the entire Kamloops business community on the national stage.
“To be recognized by ACSESS, and to have been nominated by our CEO Karen Watt, is such an honour,” Cyrena shared. “It’s a reminder that career changes can lead to incredible opportunities—and that the right team can make all the difference.”
This award is a reflection of Cyrena’s leadership and commitment, but it also shines a spotlight on our team at Excel Personnel.
